Some of the best malasadas you will come across in Hawaii is the poi glaze from Kamehameha bakery it is to die for.  It is like a regular malasadas but its purple inside because of the taro. Waiting in line is totally worth it. It moves pretty quick. There are plenty of other items and most of them is good (especially the sugar doughnuts) but the taro malasadas are the hot items and they run out pretty quick by 10 A.M. They open at 2am - 4pm on weekdays and 3am - 2pm on weekends.

Liliha Bakery is another famous Hawaii favorites. They have 2 locations (Nimitz and Kalihi), their open 24 hours it is one of the best places to grab a late night meal or simply fill your sweet tooth cravings. But when you step in, our hearts and tummy are set on those magic puffs. The coco puff has three basic components that when combined, are just divine. These little cream puff shells filled with a creamy chocolate filling and topped with a Chantilly frosting. They also offer a green tea puff. It's cheeper to buy the puffs by the dozen. The green tea puff cost $1.89 each, total for dozen $16.29 (w/tax included). This comes out way cheeper!

Paalaa Kai Bakery is very known for their snow puffies. Every time I head down to north shore side, I try to make it a point to come here. The snow puffies are flaky with custard, powdered sugar, and chocolate on top. This dessert is light yet satisfying, which is a difficult feat. it gets really messy. The price is about $2 for 1.

Kilani bakery is famous for their brownies. They only have 1 location (Wahiawa). A bit pricey but it was delicious! Chewy brownies with walnuts and powdered sugar on top. They're not cut like a typical brownies square but in long finger size rectangles which somehow makes me devour then even faster. This bakery looks like it's been here for years but they've been around for over 50 years! They also have pastries and cakes here to which i'm sure are probably amazing too.

Aloha Crepe is also Hawaii's favorites. Aloha crepes have delicious sweet and savory desserts. They cost anywhere between $7-9. If you have an ID card, you can get half-off another crepe of equal or lesser value. They have 3 locations, Aiea, Kaimuki, and Windward Mall.

No matter if your a tourist or a local, this place is a must try! There are 2 shops located in Oahu (Koko head ). These mochi are indeed handmade and delicious! Their skin is not as thick as those you buy from Safeway or Costco. I bought a dozen of regular mochi (1st picture above) for $12.50 with many flavors I wanted! If you wanted to buy individual pieces, each cost $1.50. They also have special one like the chocolate dipped mochi which cost $1.75. I personally love the multiple orgasm ice cream cake. Three layered ice cream cake with flavors of fudge, chocolate, coffee, cookies and cream. The cake was sweet with oreo cookies and chocolate flakes on either side of the cake, but in the middle balanced it out a little bit. The price was $5.45 but worth it because they give pretty big slices.
